What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is the science based on the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet and hand which correspond to all of our glands, organs, and body parts. Reflexology is a unique method of using the thumb and fingers on these reflex areas to reduce stress and tension in our system and help all of the corresponding gland, organs, and body parts to work together creating for us a higher level of health.

Reflexology Benefits (Included but not limited to)

  • Reduces stress and tension- both physical and emotional.
  • Improves circulation and promotes the unblocking of nerve impulses.
  • Helps the body to achieve homeostasis (balance).

Reflexology in our Office

A Reflexology session in our office is approximately forty five minutes long.  The client sits in a reclining chair or with his or her bare feet elevated. The Reflexologist sits on a swivel chair at the client’s feet. A relaxing atmosphere is created  with aromatherapy and relaxation music. Reflexology used primarily for relaxation can be scheduled on a weekly, bimonthly, or monthly basis, or occasionally, as the client requests.  If the body is out of balance and there are health concerns which need improvement, a series of six weekly sessions is recommended initially, moving toward less frequent visits as the body comes into balance, and eventually a relaxation schedule is advised.  If clients wish to utilize other services offered at the Seaside Wellness Center, visits may be coordinated. read more»
